We’re able to achieve this with a team of only the very best, most talented people.\n\nFor this role we are looking for a Pressure & NDT Engineer to be located in the Manchester region. \n\nWhat will you be doing? \n\nAs a Pressure & NDT Engineer for BES Group, your role will involve planning and completing inspections and reports (including Non-Destructive Testing inspections on a wide variety of pressure equipment) across a variety of customers and industries.
The inspections must be completed in order to satisfy the current legislation applicable to that plant / equipment and to the quality set out in our own Business Management System.\n\nYou will spend the majority of your time completing statutory inspections, NDT inspections, testing and reporting on industrial equipment as well as being a primary source of technical knowledge and expertise for Engineering in the relevant area. You will represent BES Group effectively and be an ambassador for our organisation.\n\nFor Statutory inspections you will:\n\nCarry out rigorous inspections to identify defects and help prevent potential, avoidable incidents \n\nComplete detailed reports \n\nEnsure all customers are compliant with vital regulations that help govern their industry (including PSSR) \n\nAlways provide the exceptional level of customer service expected from our team, whilst representing our brilliant company professionally \n\nFor NDT inspections you will:\n\nCarry out NDT inspections in accordance with relevant procedures and to the required standard.\n\nInterpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable standards, codes or specifications.\n\nCollect, collate and complete reporting (with sketches where required) on the results of NDT examinations\n\nAs part of our team, you will get: \n\nA starting salary from £50,000 to £55,000 depending on experience\n\n£5,500 annual car cash allowance\n\nUp to 10% pension contribution\n\n2 x life cover\n\nEnhanced maternity / adoption leave\n\nAnnual salary review\n\n25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays\n\nAn additional day’s holiday for your birthday every year\n\nAccess to our buy and sell holiday scheme\n\nOpportunity for flexible working\n\nElectric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme \n\nDiscounts and savings via our employee benefits portal\n\nHealth and wellbeing support via our Employee Assistance Programme\n\nCompany wide volunteering scheme\n\nFundraising support for your chosen charity\n\nWhat’s more, our approach to training is impressive, even if we do say so ourselves! We are well known for setting the benchmark high when it comes to training and if your application is successful you will join our award winning, 8-16 week, Engineer Surveyor training program. \n\nTo join our team, you will need: \n\nAn Engineering qualification at Level 4 and a strong level of practical experience \n\nHands on experience working with various types of pressure equipment such as boilers, pressure vessels, heating systems, air conditioning units, refrigeration, etc.\n\nExperience and knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements\n\nExperience working in a site NDT environment\n\nExperience in Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant\n\nThe ability to communicate complex and technical problems with ease \n\nA good level of IT and literacy skills in order to complete detailed customer reports via tablets and mobile phones\n\nPCN Level 2 (desirable)\n\nWe want you to be you!\n\nOur focus on , equality and is here to stay. \n\nOur team is made up of some of the most skilled and talented people and that’s what matters to us.
