Preconstruction/Project Planner – Civil Engineering/Groundworks\nLocation: central London\nJob Type: Full-time, directly employed (no hybrid with this one)\nSalary: to £90k plus bens\nThis leading engineering contractor is looking for a planner who can build strong, reliable preconstruction programmes for enabling works, civils, structures and groundworks projects. If you’re confident with ASTA, project controls, and complex environments like cut & carve schemes in central London, this one could be of interest.\nWhat you'll be up to\n * Build and maintain detailed precon programmes in ASTA Powerproject\n * Set up solid project controls - tracking progress, reporting, forecasting.\n * Spot risks and opportunities early and plan around them.\n * Work closely with clients, designers, and internal teams to keep programmes accurate and realistic.\n * Manage change control and keep documentation tight.\n * Make sure everything aligns with company standards and best practice.\n * Deliver clear, timely reports to senior stakeholders.\n * Help drive improvements across the planning process.\nEssential requirements:\n * Degree in Civil Engineering\n * Early experience on site as a site engineer (or similar)\n * Proven experience as a Planner in complex engineering projects\n * Track record working for civil engineering contractors (ideally London)\n * Strong ASTA and project controls skills.\n * Experience with cut & carve, RC structures projects\n * Strong analytical and organisational skills.\nBrilliant opportunity to join at a stage of planned growth
