Immediate opening for a Precision Mechanical Assembler in Vista, CA who possesses: 

• Experience with hand tools (soldering)
• Experience working on small components - stamping, sheet metal.
• Electronics manufacturing assembly

FULL DESCRIPTION: The job function is to fabricate small sized parts to technical drawing specifications, fit and finish parts, then Final Assemble and adjust assemblies to technical drawing specifications. There are many variations, so mechanically oriented critical thinking is crucial.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Proficiency in reading Blueprints / Drawings – material alloys, sizes, finishes, significance, tolerances, and special call outs
• Stay within Blueprint tolerances (Typically .005” to .030”)
• Basic Machining Layout Knowledge – scribing dimensions
• Use Dial Calipers, Machinist's Square, Micrometers, 1-2-3 and/or 2-4-6 blocks, Tape Measure, Granite surface plate, Dial Indicators
• Fabrication – Cut steel and aluminum using bandsaw, cold saw or Shear
• Finishing – Deburr, Filing, sanding, polishing, tumbling
• Use hydraulic press / arbor press for straightening sheet metal and Press fitting pins
• Use pneumatic tools – Ultrasonic Filer, Air Nozzle, Air operated press
• Use electric tools – Drill press, hand drill, Belt sanders, pedestal grinders / wire wheel, hone tools, electric torque driver
• Use hand tools – Ball peen, wrenches, scribes, chisels, screwdrivers, mallets, wrenches, pliers, etc.
• Lubricate tools utilizing special grease and oil
• Drill, Tap and chase threads
• Eyesight focus on small items for extended periods of time
• Keep equipment / work areas clean and organized
• Critical thinking
• Attention to detail
• ERP experience a plus - Software based transactions
• May lift to 49 pounds, over 49 requires use of lifting equipment or having someone assist
• Use proper lifting techniques
• Use lifting equipment and forklifts
• Packaging / Boxing items for shipment with paperwork and certs

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Experience with hand tools (soldering)
• Experience working on small components - stamping, sheet metal.
• Electronics manufacturing assembly

Salary Range: $24-32/hour
