We pride ourselves on delivering safe, well-managed, high-quality work while maintaining strong relationships with clients, , subcontractors and site teams.About The Role:We are looking for an organised, detail-focused and commercially aware Pre Construction Manager to lead our tendering and bid submission process across a range of construction projects.This role would suit someone with experience in construction bids, estimating, commercial management or pre-construction who is confident managing multiple tenders and coordinating input from different teams.The role will focus on five key areas:Opportunity triage - reviewing PQQs and ITTs to assess whether opportunities are commercially viable and aligned with company objectivesProposal development - managing the preparation, writing and submission of high-quality bid documentsStakeholder coordination - working with internal teams to gather technical, operational and commercial informationRisk & compliance - identifying risks and ensuring all submissions meet client and procurement requirementsPost-bid review - driving continuous improvement through structured feedback and lessons learnedMain Duties:Review PQQs and ITTs to assess suitability and make bid/no-bid recommendationsLead and manage the full bid process from initial enquiry through to submissionCoordinate input from project managers, estimators, commercial teams and operational staffWrite, edit and refine bid responses to ensure clarity, consistency and alignment with client requirementsPrepare supporting documentation, including case studies, programmes, methodologies and pricing narrativesEnsure all submissions are compliant with tender requirements, specifications and procurement processesIdentify commercial, contractual and operational risks and highlight these to senior managementManage bid timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met without compromising qualityMaintain bid libraries, templates and supporting documentationLiaise with clients where required during the tender processLead post-bid reviews and debriefs to improve future submissionsSupport continuous improvement of bid processes, systems and standardsManage current Estimator & Bid WriterAbout you:We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident managing multiple tenders in a fast-paced construction environment.You must be able to bring structure to the bid process, communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and produce high-quality written submissions.You may come from one of the following backgrounds:Bid Manager or Bid CoordinatorEstimator or Commercial professionalPre-construction or Proposals roleProject Manager with tendering experienceConstruction, refurbishment, maintenance or social housing backgroundEssential Requirements:Experience working within construction, repairs, refurbishment or related sectorsProven experience managing or supporting tender and bid processesStrong written communication and document preparation skillsGood understanding of PQQs, ITTs and procurement proceduresAbility to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectivelyStrong organisational and coordination skillsCommercial awareness and ability to identify key risksHigh attention to detail and accuracyGood IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Confident working with multiple stakeholders across different departmentsDesirable Requirements:Experience in insurance repairs, social housing or local authority frameworksKnowledge of public sector procurement processesExperience using bid management or document management systemsUnderstanding of construction methodologies, pricing and programme planningAPMP qualification or similar (desirable but not essential)What We Offer:Competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per year DOEFull-time, permanent position28 days annual leave, including bank holidaysOpportunity to work on a varied pipeline of projects across multiple sectorsSupportive team environment with opportunities to developLong-term career progression within the companyThe Right FitThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing structured processes, working to deadlines and producing high-quality, professional submissions.You may already be working in bids or looking to step into a full Bid Manager position from a commercial or pre-construction background.We are looking for someone who can bring organisation, attention to detail and strong communication skills to the role, while working collaboratively with teams across the business.Attitude, reliability and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality work are more important than having every qualification in place.Please click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the experience or relevant job titles of; Pre-Construction Estimator / Senior Estimator, Proposals Manager, Senior Bid Manager / Tendering Lead, Commercial Manager may also be considered for this role.TPBN1_UKTJ
