We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Powertrain Engineer to join a fast-paced motorsport environment, where you’ll take ownership of engine and gearbox systems across development, testing, and on-track performance. This is your chance to be at the core of innovation, precision, and speed.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Powertrain Development
- Own the end-to-end engineering of powertrain systems—including engine and gearbox calibration, control strategy, and integration across vehicle platforms.
Testing & Validation
- Design, execute, and analyse powertrain-specific test plans both on the dyno and trackside. Be responsible for validating performance, reliability, and functionality.
Real-Time Data Analysis
- Monitor and analyse live data from engine and gearbox systems during tests and events—transforming numbers into actionable performance insight.
Performance Reporting
- Generate comprehensive reports detailing test results, calibration changes, performance improvements, and issue diagnostics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with simulation engineers, vehicle performance teams, and drivers to ensure seamless integration of powertrain systems into the complete vehicle package.
Problem Solving & Innovation
- Be a technical leader—identifying issues quickly and proposing innovative solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
Calibration Support
- Contribute to dyno calibration activities and strategy development to ensure readiness ahead of races and events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Automotive, or Motorsport Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a high-level motorsport environment (e.g. F1, WRC, Endurance, GT)
- Strong foundation in internal combustion engine fundamentals and control systems
- Proven experience in engine and/or gearbox calibration
- Proficient with engine management systems and data analysis tools (Marelli or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
- Flexible, hands-on approach and a proven ability to perform under pressure
- A proactive mindset with the drive to innovate and deliver results
