Power Systems Commissioning Engineer

You will be at the forefront of commissioning and maintaining advanced infrastructure and systems that are central to performance-critical applications across the energy, industrial, and maritime sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and documentation of advanced electrical systems and infrastructure.
- Execute HV/LV plant and systems commissioning, including power system protection schemes and digital relays.
- Operate switching systems and manage permit to work and access limitation processes.
- Commission and integrate electrical components such as switchgear, motors, VSDs, UPS systems, transformers, and generators.
- Diagnose and maintain legacy systems including air, oil, and vacuum-insulated equipment.
- Tune, test, and troubleshoot PC/PLC-based protection and power management systems.
- Ensure documentation aligns with Quality and Safety standards such as BS EN 18001 and those set by global Classification Societies.
- Maintain site electrical infrastructure to support ongoing test programs.
Requirements:
- Degree or HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in on-site commissioning and HV/MV systems.
- Strong understanding of safety and quality systems.
- Familiarity with IEC and marine classification society rules (desirable).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
