Linxon, a leader in EPC power system infrastructure projects, seeks experienced and motivated Power System Studies & Substation Design Engineer, acritical rolein ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of the organization’s electrical infrastructure projects. This position is central to thetechnical backboneof the company, bridging advanced engineering analysis with practical design implementation.As a Power System Studies & Substation Design Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting advanced engineering and simulation studies to support the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems. This includes industrial, utility, and renewable energy applications.
What will you do?
Perform
power system studies,
such as but not limited to:
Load Flow Analysis
Short Circuit Analysis
Harmonic Analysis
Reactive Power Compensation Study
Transient Stability Studies
Arc Flash Analysis
Grounding studies
Protection Coordination and Relay Settings
Conduct substation design
studies, including:
Equipment sizing (transformers, breakers, CTs, PTs)
Busbar configuration and layout optimization
Grounding system design and analysis
Insulation coordination and lightning protection (TOV, TRV, LIOV and SOV)
Hands on experience simulation tools like
ETAP, ASPEN, PSCAD, PSS/E
Ensure compliance with and international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC).
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, civil, protection, and SCADA teamsfor integrated substation design.
Support grid integration studies for renewables, data centers, and industrial loads.
Provide technical support during tendering and project execution phases.
Experience, Education and other Required:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
(preferably with a focus on Power Systems).
5+ years
of experience in power system analysis or related fields.
Proficiency in electrical power system simulation software(s) and technical documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver innovative solutions.
Proficiency withGIS/AIS substation design.
Experience withbattery energy storage systems (BESS) and renewable energy integration.
Familiarity with grid codes and utility standards.
Knowledge of protection relays and SCADA systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
