Data Scientist Data Analytics

Blu Omega is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team and help transform complex data into actionable insights that support mission-critical decisions. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals skilled in data analytics, machine learning, and visualization to make a significant impact within a government environment. Location: Suffolk, VA Clearance Needed: Active Secret clearance required. Responsibilities:
Analyze, standardize, and interpret large datasets
Perform statistical analyses and develop dashboards
Support government clients with data integration and management
Design application workflows, automate processes, and improve data systems
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data security and compliance
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or data engineering
Expertise in databases, coding, data visualization, and analytic tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) for 2+ years
Extensive experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or SharePoint (3+ years)
Strong skills in data integration using Power Query and managing multi-source data
Experience supporting government clients
Ability to analyze large datasets and build dashboards or reports
Nice to Have:
Power FX experience with advanced logic and formulas within Power Platform
