Lead Software Engineer

As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Power Platform Developer, Sr.
Project Summary
The Power Platform Developer Sr is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. This role focuses on building modern, user-friendly applications, automating business processes, and delivering data-driven insights to support mission and operational objectives.
The developer will collaborate closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to translate requirements into intuitive applications while ensuring secure, compliant, and high-performing solutions in a classified environment.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Design user-centric interfaces through wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to enhance user experience.
Conduct user research and usability testing to refine applications and improve adoption.
Develop and maintain custom applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps).
Automate workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
Design and implement relational data models using Microsoft Dataverse.
Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft services (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Azure) and third-party applications.
Create dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights and data visualization.
Troubleshoot and enhance existing applications to improve performance and usability.
Ensure solutions follow best practices for security, scalability, and governance within Power Platform environments.
Required for This Opportunity
Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Minimum of 8 years of overall IT and/or development experience.
3–5 years of hands-on experience developing Power Platform solutions (Power Apps Canvas and/or Model-Driven Apps).
At least 1 year of experience with Power BI and SharePoint.
Experience with web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Strong understanding of application development lifecycle and business process automation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills
Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-200, PL-400).
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
Experience using C# to extend Power Apps or integrate with backend services.
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and Azure services.
Knowledge of Power Platform governance, security, and environment management.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Exposure to federal environments and compliance frameworks.
At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $117,000-$177,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
