is currently hiring for an experienced

Power Group Leader

to help lead and grow our power delivery and renewable energy business. This is a

remote friendly position.

The primary duties of the Power Group Leader include executing and managing all aspects of power delivery and renewable energy projects of all sizes and complexity. This can include scope and/or proposal development, client engagement, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, and quality control, schedule, and budget performance. Experience with substation and switchyard design, power system protection, power system analysis, communications, and SCADA with strong technical experience in one or more of these services is required. Some travel for business development and project execution may be required.

Power Group Leader responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Lead and deliver technical work for the Substation Practice.

Mentor and train junior and mid-level staff on career development, project management, and technical expertise.

Foster a functional, efficient, and enjoyable work environment as part of the EBU (Energy Business Unit) leadership team.

Manage performance, including time off, timecards, expense reports, and training approvals.

Collaborate with other Group Leaders across DEA's diverse business units to fulfill project and business development opportunities.

Drive successful recruitment and retention efforts to ensure DEA hires and retains top talent.

Learn client standards and expectations, identify new business opportunities, and provide inputs for scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Basic Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related field

Professional Engineer license

5+ years of power delivery or renewable energy engineering experience

2+ years of project management for substation design experience

Strong client and project management skills

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Alignment with DEA Cultural Drivers

Qualifications

10+ years of experience, preferably with an engineering consulting firm

Experience managing staff, clients, contracts and hiring staff for an engineering consulting firm

Client management and business development experience including client relationships with power delivery clients in western United States

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Potential salary range depending on experience and location is $125,000-$185,000

The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
