Job Summary

We are seeking Power Electronics Hardware Development Engineers passionate about designing and controlling Low, Medium, and High Voltage Power Electronics converters. These converters, achieving over 98% efficiency, are developed for challenging environments with condensation risks, high vibrations, shock, and arc flash. You will work on cutting-edge systems for industries such as oil and gas, marine, and military applications. If you are eager to push technological and personal limits, this is an excellent opportunity.

Responsibilities

Work under the mentorship of experienced Project and Hardware Engineers.

Simulate overall Power Electronics systems for industrial applications like Marine Propulsion, Oil and Gas, Metals rolling mills, and Power .

Specify electrical components (Cables, Filters, Inductors, Capacitors, Transformers, Converters).

Create project documentation including hardware and commissioning instructions.

Customize Voltage Source Inverters (IGBT or SiC) and Thyristor converters (Rectifier LCI).

Support drive commissioning activities.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Willingness to travel up to 20% for site issue resolution.

Proficiency with Matlab/PLECS, C programming, Industrial Informatics, and real-time systems.

Autonomous, curious, capable of understanding new concepts, coaching peers, and team integration.

Major coursework in Power Electronics Converters (MMC, multilevel VSI, LCI, DC drives, Cycloconverter), Variable Speed applications, STATCOM, or active filtering.
