Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer
Job Description
The Power Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, testing, and debugging of power converters. This role involves developing products from concept through to high-volume production. You will design, develop, and test advanced power electronics such as inverters and converters using high power components, often in the range of hundreds of kilowatts.
Responsibilities
Design and develop power converters and related electronics.
Test and debug power electronic circuits to ensure functionality.
Lead the product development process from concept through to production.
Utilize high power components for designing inverters and converters.
Implement schematic capture and component selection for power electronics circuits design.
Essential Skills
Experience in power electronics and schematic capture.
Proficiency with Altium for schematic design.
Ability to debug and test power electronic circuits.
Knowledge of 3-phase power systems.
Experience with hardware design and digital/analog design.
Familiarity with DC/AC motor systems and circuits.
Proficiency with test equipment such as scopes, DC/AC electronic loads, and power sources.
Experience with SiC and GaN device-based power converter design.
Simulation experience using Matlab Simulink, PLECS, or LTSpice.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics.
8+ years of experience required for Lead Engineer positions.
3+ years of experience required for Staff level Engineer positions.
Strong understanding of 3-phase power systems.
US Citizenship.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $240000.00/yr.
