Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced PE Power and Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. As a Power and Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of control systems for various industrial processes and machinery. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in complex projects, collaborate with a team of passionate professionals, and make a significant contribution to the engineering industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement and maintain control systems for various industrial processes and machinery. This includes the development of EI&C, P&ID, logic diagrams, and instrument index.
2. Work collaboratively with the project team to ensure the successful execution of projects from conception to completion.
3. Provide technical support for PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
4. Conduct detailed equipment specifications, selection, and procurement activities.
5. Ensure all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurately represent the desired outcome.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations, including NEC.
7. Participate in the construction phase of projects to confirm the design intent is achieved and assist with any on-site issues.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
9. Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
10. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and support all design and development efforts.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
2. Must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in power and controls engineering.
4. Proficient in EI&C, P&ID, logic diagrams, instrument index, equipment specifications, and PLC programming.
5. Extensive knowledge of NEC and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
6. Experience in the construction phase of projects, including troubleshooting and resolving on-site issues.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
10. Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant engineering software.
