Polisher / Machine Operator – Austin, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts
Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

Xpand Staffing is seeking a Polisher / Machine Operator to join our client’s growing shop in Austin, TX. You’ll be part of a dynamic, multinational team working on high-quality projects within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate polishing and finishing equipment to achieve desired surface finish and luster on parts and materials.
• Polish, glaze, and buff materials using hand and power tools while maintaining precise dimensions.
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure quality standards are met, using templates and measurement tools.
• Identify and mark any defects for rework.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Follow all safety and equipment-use procedures.
• Assist coworkers in other stations when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience:
• • 2+ years as a Machine Operator (required)
  • 3+ years polishing materials such as marble, granite, or quartz
  • 1+ year experience in carpentry or similar trade ()
  • Forklift operation experience (a plus)
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Skills & Knowledge:
• • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Basic maintenance knowledge
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
