About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Project Manager (FMPM) to join our team. The FMPM will manage all our customers' facility maintenance projects from inception through completion. Work includes coordination with, but not limited to, our internal team, government representatives, and subcontractors. Local and overseas travel will be required from time to time.
As an FMPM, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects from beginning to end. The successful candidate will be a natural leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who can motivate and guide team members toward achieving project goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Three to five years of project management background in construction or facility maintenance
- Three to five years of cost estimation and budgeting experience.
- Three to five years of experience with scheduling and sequencing - knowledge of CPM (Critical Path Method), Gantt charts, and sequencing of trades.
- Three to five years of experience with contract management - understanding contract terms and handling change orders.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
- Knowledge of construction methods & materials - understanding building techniques, standards, and materials.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Government contracting experience but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Cost estimation & budgeting – prepare and manage accurate project cost forecasts.
- Thoroughly read and understand the government contracts associated with the project.
- Provide estimates for work to be done at the relevant government facilities, including but not limited to, preventative maintenance, service calls, and out-of-contract work.
- Estimate and manage multiple projects simultaneously within project scope, budget constraints, schedules, and material and labor resources.
- Provide business development, bidding & pricing support
- Ensure that all work orders and repair requests are processed in a timely fashion
- Ensure that rules and regulations governing applicable government buildings are adhered to.
- Build and maintain a good relationship with the relevant government employees.
- Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard
- Perform other duties and assignments as required.
