Overview

A well-established mechanical contractor with over a century of service experience across regional and markets is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plumbing Project Manager. The firm specializes in commercial, healthcare, and tenant buildout projects.

Job Summary

The Plumbing Project Manager will oversee all phases of plumbing projects, from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in plumbing systems, excellent leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Negotiate contract scope, buyouts, and prepare purchase orders.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, vendors, suppliers, project managers, and field personnel.

- Manage project organization, estimating, scheduling, implementation, and closeout across multiple assignments.

- Oversee financial aspects such as forecasting, manpower planning, job cost tracking, and monthly billing.

- Ensure installations meet company and project quality standards.

- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and subcontractors regarding job status and changes.

- Handle scope clarifications, scheduling, pricing, change orders, issue resolution, and account receivables.

- Conduct regular site visits to assess workload, staffing needs, and project progress.

- Maintain client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

- Communicate challenges, risks, and milestones with internal leadership.

- Coordinate timely release and delivery of equipment with field teams.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of experience in plumbing (project management, estimating, or fieldwork).

- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and relevant building codes.

- Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Familiarity with construction documentation and procedures (e.g., RFI, RFP, change orders).

- Strong computer skills: Autodesk, Microsoft Word and Excel, Bluebeam.

- Effective communication and leadership abilities.

- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical schematics.

- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to job sites as needed.

Compensation

- Annual salary range: $75,000 - $100,000, depending on experience, education, and qualifications.

- Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
