Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend pre-bid meetings as needed.
• Take off plumbing / piping systems, equipment, and materials with estimating software, to develop estimated labor and material costs. Fastpipe or Quote Soft Preferred experience
• Review and understand plans and specifications.
• During the bid process, prepare transmittals, distribute plans, specifications, and addenda to subcontractors.
• Review documents and identify project bid requirements, scope of work, critical schedule and sequences, non-standard work conditions, cost impacts, material and equipment data, safety and compliance requirements, risk management and special requirements.
• Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service.
• Creating labor estimates for any project.
• Managing bids from vendors and contractors. Using bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis.
• Follow up on all potential bids submitted to customers.
• Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders.
• Plan detailed quantity surveys and complete scope.
• Facilitate hand off project and estimate information to a Project Manager.
• Work with contractors on yes bids to gather all information needed to move forward.
• Assist project managers with change orders and other budget changes.
