Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJoin a Mission-Built Team

Novolex® advances packaging for food, retail, health, and industrial markets through materials ranging from paper and plastic to other sustainable options. Our long-term vision centers on three pillars—products, operations, and people—anchoring company-wide sustainability efforts and ambitious goals.

Your Impact

As the technical force behind our production lines, you will elevate uptime and quality by troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical and electronic control systems. Your work directly ensures equipment functions correctly and continuously improves both the equipment and the maintenance process.

Core Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs, preventative maintenance, new installs, upgrades, and modifications to production machinery and facility systems.
  • Keep precise records of work performed and parts consumed—via written documentation and the CMMS.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues across PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, AC/DC drives, temperature control units, and computer-based systems.
  • Program and configure machines to meet product specifications; perform PLC, HMI, and VFD edits, transfers, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to creating, modifying, and revising manufacturing work instructions and process flow documentation.
  • Assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, and maintain manual and automated electro-mechanical systems using schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal direction.
  • Run/bend conduit, mount boxes, pull feeder wires, and complete terminations.
  • Conduct bench diagnostics: rebuild/repair offline parts and equipment, test, restock as repaired inventory, or red tag and notify the lead/supervisor to order new or send out for repair.
  • Operate safely, accurately, rapidly, and independently; perform well under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Maintenance Certification, or 3+ years as an industrial electrician with mechanical experience (industrial manufacturing is a plus).
  • Knowledge of 120/277/480 V systems and three-phase power.
  • PLC experience; Allen-Bradley and AB RSLogix familiarity is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with VFDs, DC and servo drives, and AC/DC drive systems.
  • Proficiency with process controls: 4–20 mA loops, positioning feedback, and analog controls.
  • Experience with temperature control systems.
  • In-depth understanding of industrial electrical systems maintenance.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Collaboration

Work closely with engineering, machine operators, and maintenance colleagues in a high-paced manufacturing setting to keep lines on spec and running.
