Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Robotics/ PLC Controls Programmer to join our programming and controls team. This role focuses on PLC, HMI, and robotic programming for industrial automation systems, including both new machine builds and upgrades to existing equipment. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, solving real-world automation challenges, and collaborating with engineers, technicians, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC control systems for industrial machinery and processes
• Develop and modify HMI applications, including custom operator interfaces
• Program and support robotic systems (as applicable)
• Assist with control panel design, I/O layout, and system architecture
• Support machine startups, commissioning, and on-site troubleshooting
• Retrofit and upgrade existing customer equipment
• Work with multiple automation platforms and control system brands
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and project teams to deliver complete solutions
• Provide technical support when clients face time or resource constraints

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 + years of experience in PLC programming and industrial controls
• Proficiency with at least one major PLC platform (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron)
• Experience with HMI development (FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition, or similar)
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, electrical schematics, and automation processes
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems in live production environments
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Experience with robot programming (Fanuc, ABB)
• Machine-building or systems integration background
• On-site commissioning and startup experience
• Ability to work with multiple brands and platforms
• Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience
