Currently, we are looking to expand our engineering team with a highly motivated Control Engineer with a focus on Project Management to deliver automation solutions to various customers within the food and beverage industries. Job Description

Control Engineers at EVO Integration are responsible for designing and delivering complete automation solutions from start to finish that may include panel layout for manufacturing equipment. Duties will include design, programming, directing, managing and working with vendors to create the solution best suited for the customer.

Job Responsibilities

· Demonstrate ability to design and program PLC’s and HMI systems

· Specify hardware and software solutions to meet customer requirements

· Develop and troubleshoot operating systems

· Identify, solve controls and electrical system related problems, design improvement opportunities and deficiencies

· Develop electrical bill of materials and ensure purchase of these materials through company vendors.

· Configuration of drives, PLC’s and other control system and electronic/electrical components

· Understanding of Industrial Control Panels and capable of meeting all NEC requirements of electrical design

· Responsible for documenting and maintaining all customer communications

· Maintain quality and safety standards

· Lead the project team during onsite startups

· Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports

· Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities

· Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence

· Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress

· Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

· Any other work-related duties assigned by a manager

Requirements

· BS/AS in Engineering or Engineering Technology or well demonstrated industry experience

· Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· Experience in PLC programming, specifically Rockwell and Siemens

• Familiarity with Wonderware

· Experience with SCADA systems such as Factory Talk View and Ignition

· Prefer some experience with SQL and VBA

· Experience with VFDs, servos, and motion control

· Experience with machine level communication protocols such as EthernetIP, DeviceNet, I/O Link, etc.

· Manufacturing/production mindset

· Follow company policies and safety regulations

Skills

· Ability to read, understand, and modify electrical schematics

· Coordinate multiple tasks and/or projects

• Analyze problems and strategize for more efficient solutions

· Ability to multitask and able to adapt to customer driven changes

• Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
• Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and teams involved with them

· Basic understanding of the NEC as it applies to control systems

· Excellent interpersonal and people management skills

· Excellent client relations skills and strong customer service focus

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly.

· Strong organization and time management skills with attention to detail
