Lead the platform that powers 24/7 operations for Fortune 500 clients.

Our client, a leading enterprise technology company, is seeking a hands-on Manager of Platform Engineering to own DevOps, SRE, and platform reliability for their customer-facing cloud platform. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who wants to stay technical while building and mentoring a world-class team.

What You'll Do

\n

\n
• Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of platform/DevOps/SRE engineers

\n

• Own platform strategy, roadmap, and execution against SLAs and business KPIs (availability, MTTR, deployment frequency)

\n

• Architect and operate hybrid infrastructure (Azure + on-prem) with high availability, security, and cost efficiency

\n

• Drive CI/CD, Kubernetes (AKS), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep) maturity

\n

• Establish SRE practices: SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, observability, blameless postmortems

\n

• Lead incident response, DR strategy (RPO/RTO), and security/compliance controls

\n

• Run operational cadences: CAB, release reviews, retrospectives

\n

\n

Must-Haves

\n

\n
• 6+ years in platform/DevOps/software engineering, 2–3+ years managing a team

\n

• Deep Azure expertise (AKS, Entra/Azure AD, RBAC, monitoring, networking)

\n

• Proven experience scaling mission-critical, customer-facing platforms

\n

• Hands-on with CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform/ARM/Bicep, observability tools

\n

• Strong security/compliance background and change management (ITIL) experience

\n

• Excellent communication skills—able to translate tech into business impact

\n

\n

Nice-to-Haves

\n

\n
• Background in SaaS, IoT, or real-time data platforms

\n

• Experience with Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or Application Insights

\n

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Expert, or CKA certification

\n

• Experience scaling platforms through rapid growth (2x–3x)

\n

• SOC 2/ISO 27001 compliance experience

\n
