Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to oversee operations at our electromechanical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence, efficiency, and quality. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to meet production goals while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, engineering, logistics, and EHS.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and other methodologies to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D to support new product introductions, product changes, and manufacturing process development.
- Develop and manage operational KPIs (OEE, throughput, scrap rate, downtime, etc.) and take corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
- Champion safety initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Optimize labor, materials, and equipment utilization to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team; ensure proper training and workforce development.
- Monitor and control budgets, including cost reduction initiatives and capital expenditures.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s ).
- 7+ years of plant management or manufacturing leadership experience in an electromechanical or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies (certifications ).
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams through complex change initiatives.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, ERP software, and supply chain principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Skills:
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other quality/environmental systems.
- Background in managing both manual assembly and automated manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of electromechanical components, assemblies, and testing procedures.
