Location: Jupiter, Florida
Reports To: COO / VP Operations
Direct Reports: Production Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, QA/QC Manager,
Warehouse & Logistics Lead, HSE Officer
Position Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for the full operational leadership of the manufacturing
facility, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and cost-effective production.
The role oversees production planning, quality control, maintenance, regulatory compliance,
cost management, and team development to achieve operational excellence and EBITDA
targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Production
• Lead daily production of granular, liquid, water-soluble, and/or specialty fertilizers and
organic pesticides.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and on-time delivery.
• Optimize plant capacity utilization and reduce downtime.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor batch accuracy and raw material usage.
2. Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with local fertilizer and pesticide regulations and environmental
standards.
• Maintain product specifications (NPK ratios, micronutrient accuracy, chelation stability,
etc.).
• Oversee QA/QC laboratory operations.
• Maintain ISO (9001/14001) standards if applicable.
• Manage audits and regulatory inspections.
3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Enforce strict safety standards for handling acids, phosphates, ammonia,
micronutrients, etc.
• Implement safety training programs.
• Maintain incident-free culture.
• Ensure environmental compliance (emissions, wastewater, dust control).
4. Maintenance & Engineering
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure reliability of mixers, granulators, dryers, blenders, reactors, filling lines.
• Manage CAPEX projects and plant expansion initiatives.
• Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
5. Financial & Cost Control
• Manage plant operating budget.
• Control raw material losses and waste.
• Improve production cost per MT.
• Track KPIs: OEE, yield %, energy cost/MT, labor cost/MT.
• Contribute to EBITDA growth targets.
6. Supply Chain & Inventory
• Manage raw material inventory (urea, MAP, DAP, KCl, micronutrients, chelates,
acids).
• Optimize working capital.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams.
• Ensure warehouse efficiency and FIFO compliance.
7. Team Leadership
• Lead and develop plant team (operators, engineers, QC staff).
• Implement performance management system.
• Develop succession plan for key technical roles.
• Foster accountability and ownership culture.

Plant Supervisor
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Plant OEE > 80%
• On-time production > 95%
• Scrap/Waste < 2%
• Zero lost-time safety incidents
• Cost per MT reduction year over year
• Inventory turnover improvement
• EBITDA margin contribution
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• 7–15 years manufacturing experience (fertilizer, agrochemicals, chemicals ).
• Experience in NPK blending, granulation, liquid fertilizer production, or specialty
nutrients.
• Strong knowledge of process safety and regulatory compliance.
• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Qualifications
• Experience in specialty fertilizers (micronutrients, chelated products, phosphonates).
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Experience scaling plants from <50,000 MT to >150,000 MT annually.
• CAPEX project leadership experience.
Compensation Structure (For Growth-Oriented Company)
• Base Salary: $90,000 per year
• Performance Bonus: based on achievement of KPI’s
