Plant Manager – Shelby, Montana
Reports to: VP of Operations and Technology
FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

We are seeking a full-time, onsite Plant Manager to lead the Shelby, MT facility. This plant plays a critical role in the production network, requiring sustained throughput, consistent quality, and minimal downtime. The Plant Manager will oversee operations, quality, warehouse, and administrative responsibilities for the site. This leader will drive reliability in operations, manage logistics of raw materials and finished goods, and partner with HR to recruit and retain local talent. The Shelby Plant Manager will also lead a cultural reset at the site, creating a professional, accountable, and safety-driven workplace that delivers best-in-class consistency.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring throughput, uptime, and workflow consistency.
- Develop and maintain shift schedules that maximize labor efficiency and maintain critical path workflows.
- Maintain NetSuite dashboard, upkeep data entry, and verify data integrity for the facility.
- Ensure site compliance with all safety, environmental, and company standards.
- Oversee quality testing programs, ensuring finished goods meet product specifications and customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of finished goods testing and corrective actions related to quality and consistency.
- Promote a strong safety culture with continuous training, audits, and accountability.
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes, coordinating with Engineering on preventive maintenance and critical repairs.
- Oversee raw material receipts and outbound shipments to customers within ERP/NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain warehouse organization, inventory integrity, and ERP/NetSuite tracking.
- Ensure consistent documentation and chain-of-custody for inbound and outbound loads.
- Partner with HR to source, hire, and retain skilled local talent.
- Build professionalism and accountability through structured training and leadership development.
- Establish a consistent, performance-driven culture aligned with company values.
Administration & Reporting
- Own all plant-level administrative functions, including ERP/NetSuite transactions, payroll approvals, and compliance reporting.
- Manage site-specific budgets, KPIs, and site-level cost control.
- Represent Shelby operations during audits, corporate reviews, and customer-facing interactions as needed.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of plant or production leadership, with proven experience.
- Strong background in equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and uptime management.
- Experience managing warehouse and logistics operations, including inbound/outbound freight.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain quality testing systems.
- Skilled in scheduling shifts and managing multi-step workflows under high uptime demands.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite ) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong safety, training, and compliance leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field ().
- Must be local or willing to relocate to Shelby, MT; full-time onsite presence required.
