Mack Industries is looking to hire a Plant Maintenance Technician to add to our Plant Maintenance Team. In this position one would perform duties related to the installation, repairs and maintenance of production equipment, facilities maintenance and heavy equipment maintenance such as overhead cranes.

Essential Functions

• Create, assemble and repair structures, components and equipment essential for maintaining facilities and machinery
• Inspects, diagnoses, and perform advanced electrical and electrical repairs, equipment improvements and upgrades
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, lead and perform preventative and corrective maintenance based on established procedures on production machinery, overhead cranes and plant facilities
• Follows up on repairs ensuring that the performed work is effective
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
• Willingness to work at heights above 20’
• Performs routine maintenance and as needed maintenance on all equipment related to the production processes and plant facilities. Equipment such as but not limited to production equipment and overhead cranes
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed

Requirements:

Education and Training

• High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications

• Maintenance experience on production equipment and overhead cranes
• Basic electrical knowledge required. Advanced electrical knowledge
• Welding experience required
• Knowledge in PM’s, belt conveyors, overhead cranes, hydraulics and pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes and torch cutting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple operations at once
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Environment Conditions and Physical Strain

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., on occasion
• Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to squat, crawl, climb and kneel to complete tasks
