Responsibilities and authority:
- Enters, and reviews customer orders for fulfillment per TSI Form 058.
- Reviews material requirements, and translates sales orders into production schedules. .
- Sends customer an acknowledgement confirming delivery dates.
- Performs ongoing customer service with all assigned customers via phone and or email.
- Verifies Planer's releases the appropriate jobs to the cage in a timely fashion, supporting the goal of on-time delivery for all manufactured parts. Ensure travelers are properly closed before shipments.
- Tracks the progress of parts through the manufacturing process.
- Ship and tracks shipments, updates production schedule and runs daily reports to assure on-time delivery. Must work with Shipping Manager to ensure parts ship as required by TSI's due dates.
- Expedites job if necessary with prior management approval.
- Provides weekly backlog schedules to Purchasing , concerning upcoming customer schedules for the purpose of ordering appropriate amount of material.
- Uploads TSI's inventory in customer's portal with prior Manager's approval.
- Perform monthly inventory functions and gathers data for WIP, and Finished Good Reports.
- Planning Lead must be able to perform all the planners' functions.
- Planning Lead is responsible for the performance of the planner/planners.
- Additional responsibilities within the department may be assigned by your Manager.
Minimum qualifications and experience requirements:
- At least 2-years experience in planning role in a manufacturing environment field.
- Significant experience in computerized customer demand portals is mandatory as well as a strong command of Microsoft Excel.
- Fluency in Spanish is , but not mandatory.
- Ability to translate complex and changing customer demands and communicate those demands internally as clear manufacturing plans and schedules is the key component of this position.
Delegation of duties during absence:
- Planning Lead will be the primary coverage during absence of the Planning;Purchasing and Inventory Manager.
Compensation:
Hourly: $20.00 -$29.00
