Role Description The Planning is an role based on-site at City of Paso Robles offices in Paso Robles, CA. The will support the Planning Division with day-to-day tasks such as assisting with data collection, organizing planning documents, and preparing maps, charts, and graphics for reports and presentations. Responsibilities may include helping staff review development applications, conducting basic research on land use, zoning, and community development topics, and assisting with public outreach materials and meeting preparation. The will help maintain planning files and databases, respond to routine information requests, and learn about municipal planning processes and regulations. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in city planning and community development while contributing to ongoing projects that serve and local businesses.\n

- Strong interest in urban planning, community development, geography, public policy, or related fields, supported by relevant coursework or academic program enrollment.
- Basic research and analytical skills, including the ability to gather information, summarize findings, and present data clearly.

- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools); familiarity with mapping or GIS tools is a plus.
