Assist/Participate in the daily functions of the Planning Department. Maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain equipment and supplies.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Assist Administrative Assistant in processing and acknowledging customer purchase orders and creating sales orders
- Assist Administrative Assistant in maintaining and updating Customer Purchase order log after receipt of customer orders
- Create work orders as necessary to support production schedule and customer orders
- Place raw material orders with purchasing to ensure material availability at scheduled work order start date
- Create a list of material shortages for the upcoming production cycle and coordinate with purchasing to get material
- Provide customer service by answering phone calls and email inquiries from customers
- Review and provide updates to customer Open Order Reports as requested
- Job Completion of work orders/routers and receive finished goods into stock
- Issue material to work orders/routers as necessary
- Assist in creating and issuing Outside Service Purchase Orders per specs/routers and MRO purchase orders
- Maintain and update Outside Service/MRO Purchase Order Log in real time
- Provide back-up when Administrative Assistant is out by greeting guests, answer and direct calls, and sort/distribute mail
- Ability to lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects
- Maintain current, overall, and job specific trainings and requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Detail oriented
- Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated
- AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment
- Experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices, and Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
