Overview
CTG is seeking to fill a Planner I opening for our client in Richland, WA.
Location: Richland, WA
Duration: 12 months
Description:
Develop, revise, and maintain work orders to comply with plant licensing documents, regulatory commitments, technical specifications, preventive and equipment qualification requirements, and to maintain plant configuration. Provide Planner/Field Engineer support on capital projects including, but not limited to, work order planning, project meetings, walk-downs, and field implementation coordination. Assist Engineering in the development of design and change packages and troubleshooting activities as appropriate. Identify and order materials and parts to support work activities.
Duties:

Work independently to plan work order packages for preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant.

Provide technical expertise on systems and plant equipment for planning and writing detailed work packages.

Support craft personnel and supervisors during task performance.

Perform field investigations and walk-downs for problem identification.

Prepare detailed work packages including historical data, plant impact, post-maintenance testing, and written instructions.

Prepare and update work packages to resolve condition reports and deficiencies within schedule parameters.

Identify and order required parts, materials, special tools, and equipment.

Translate engineering change documents into work packages.

Ensure appropriate supporting documentation (procedures, weld records, permits, etc.) is included.

Monitor work order backlogs and prepare packages based on priorities and schedules.

Provide detailed planning instructions for major maintenance activities, including design change packages as appropriate.

Incorporate feedback into work packages to improve quality and effectiveness.

Ensure all work order packages meet industry and plant standards.
Skills:

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.

Capability to obtain Planner I qualification.
Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and at least 2 years of experience in a technical area (maintenance, engineering, operations, or maintenance planning), OR
-
Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university and 3 years of experience in a technical area, OR
-
High school diploma/GED plus technical training or education (e.g., apprenticeship program) and 4 years of experience in a technical area, OR
-
High school diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in a technical area (e.g., Electrical or I&C).
Educational experience from an accredited college or university will be considered year-for-year in exchange for work experience in a technical area.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $34.00 to $59.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
