RINA is seeking for a Energy production project, an experienced Piping Quantity Surveyor
Role Overview
Provides support to the construction management team by documenting contractor productivity, T&M work, and rework activities. Primarily field-based, this role ensures accurate daily reporting, T&M work validation, and assists in coordination between contractors and project management to maintain & document project progress.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Spend majority of time in the field with contractor crews documenting productivity and rework.
- Maintain detailed logs and produce daily summary reports for submission to the STO lead and the construction manager.
- Assist in reviewing and recommending red lines to the construction superintendents and engineering team.
- Support prioritization and sequencing of Piping installation activities.
- Communicate issues and progress updates to construction management.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and report any concerns.
- Communicate inefficiencies, guidance, and correction to contractor’s crew supervision
Education / Experience / Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience as a piping supervisor, field engineer, QAQC, or in a similar role with familiarity in documenting field work on construction projects.
- Basic understanding of construction software such as Navisworks, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace preferred.
Skills / Abilities:
- Strong observational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, build rapport, and provide needed guidance to contractor construction teams.
- Good communication skills to liaise with project management and engineering.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Project duration
- Immediate starting date, duration at least 5 months and further extension
