Piping Material Engineer

 Job Opportunity: Piping Material Engineer (Oil & Gas / Marine Projects) Location: Paris Suburb
 Start Date: ASAP
 Duration: 12-month contract, renewable
   About the Role We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Piping Material Engineer to support engineering activities in the Oil & Gas and Marine sectors. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of a Lead Engineer and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality technical documentation and procurement support.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage piping material classes and component specifications
  • Prepare valve and special item datasheets
  • Manage quantities and support material requisition revisions
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations for piping bulk and valves
  • Handle vendor documentation and purchase order follow-up
  • Ensure compliance with marine industry standards
  • Contribute to naval project engineering activities

 Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Oil & Gas and/or Marine engineering projects
  • Strong command of technical English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to write specifications and participate in vendor clarification meetings
