Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

Job Summary:

WES seeks a qualified individual who can manage the Pipeline Integrity Management Program projects for make-ready, assessments, and remediation as required by 49 CFR 192 & 195 for gas and hazardous liquid pipelines respectively. This position is located at Western Midstream’s Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas as a member of the Asset Integrity Team. This position provides support to the Western Midstream’s Pipeline Integrity Program.

Take a lead role in the planning, preparation, coordination and execution of onshore In-Line Inspection, hydrostatic tests, and Pipeline Integrity Management Services projects. Candidate will manage scheduling of make-ready, assessments, and remediation particularly as it relates to system integrity to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline integrity with onshore oil and gas operators or service companies is required

Must have strong understanding of federal (DOT 49 CFR 192 and 195) and state (e.g.: Texas, Colorado) pipeline regulations with emphasis on integrity management regulations

Capable of leading pipeline rehabilitation projects using advanced industry technologies

Technical knowledge and experience in pipeline inspection tools, pipeline corrosion, pipeline risk management, and pipeline information analysis

Technical knowledge and practical working experience in pipeline operations and maintenance, in-line inspection (ILI) running, integrity assessment methods, and defect assessment and repair methods

Must be able to interface and work effectively with a wide variety of people, both internal and external to Western Midstream Partners including Engineers, Operations, field staff, service contractors, equipment vendors, and cross-discipline professionals

Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, API and NACE

Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills

Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with strong analytical and time management skills

Strong initiative to work efficiently with accurate results

Must be self-motivated and able to work both collaboratively and independently

Responsibilities:

Lead the efforts with Pipeline Integrity, Engineering, Construction, and Operations Teams to assist in defining project scope, design, and pipeline rehabilitation work

Provide scope, schedule, and budget guidance for pipeline integrity work

Create cost estimates based on vendor supplied pricing and submit funding requests for appropriate approvals

Authorize work to be performed on behalf of Western Midstream by issuing work orders to vendors. Develop project cost tracking mechanisms and supply that cost information for monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting for review by management

Update stakeholders through timely progress reports or notifications of achieving significant project milestones

Coordinate with HSE, Regulatory, Engineering and Operations on pipeline integrity efforts

Collaborate with Automation, Commercial, Corrosion Prevention, and Field Operations while directing third party vendors and inspection personnel to safely execute pipeline integrity make ready, assessment and rehabilitation projects

Support other initiatives as necessary

API, AMPP (NACE), and PMI certifications are

Professional Engineering (PE) license is +

Work Schedule:

This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. The candidate will be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Thursday working remote on Wednesday and Friday.
