Starting Pay: $32.00/hr

Earn $34.00/hr After 90 Days!

Location: West Tulsa

Performance Pay Increase Opportunity:
Our client rewards quality craftsmanship. Welders who successfully complete their first 90 days, maintain excellent attendance, and consistently produce high-quality welds with little to no rework are eligible for an increase to $34.00/hr. Even better, you'll receive retroactive pay for every hour worked during your first 90 days at the higher rate.

Available Shifts

Day Shift - Monday-Thursday - 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, Overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays

Weekend Shift - Friday-Sunday - 6:00 AM-6:30 PM, Work 36 hours and get paid for 40

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced 6G Pipe Welders to join a growing manufacturing team. This position involves fitting and welding pressure-containing pipe and structural components while meeting strict quality standards, including X-ray inspection. Candidates must be able to produce high-quality welds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following safety and production requirements.

Weld Test

Qualified candidates will complete approximately a 4-hour weld test consisting of:

• 6G GMAW stringer root
• SMAW (8018 C3) fill and cap
• X-ray inspection
• Candidates who pass the first test will complete an API 1104 branch test using two 12-inch pipe T-joints.
• Pipe diameters range from 3⁄4" to 54", with wall thicknesses generally up to 1.250".

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, and weld pipe and structural assemblies according to engineering drawings.
• Perform 6G pipe welding using GMAW and SMAW processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Inspect fit-up, joint preparation, and finished welds to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate grinders, torches, saws, and other fabrication equipment.
• Assist with fitting, layout, and assembly of pressure vessels, skids, and industrial equipment.
• Work safely while maintaining production and quality expectations.
• Support hydrostatic, X-ray, and dimensional inspections when required.

Qualifications

• Previous 6G pipe welding experience required.
• Ability to pass an X-ray quality weld test.
• Experience with GMAW and SMAW welding processes.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of proper weld preparation, fit-up, and inspection practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
