6 Month + Contract Position - Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm
The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Pipe Welder - TIG stainless steel to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting a process pipework installation and plant maintenance project in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, IP32 7BB.
Duties
As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe welder - TIG stainless steel, you will be working on site at a food manufacturing facility in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP32 7BB. Typical duties will include fabricating and butt welding 1" to 4" OD thin wall schedule 10 stainless steel pipework, with a small amount of schedule 40 stainless steel pipework up to 4" diameter along with carbon steel up to 6". Other duties will include fillet welding brackets and associated supports along with assisting other pipe fitter welders as necessary.
About You
Based ideally in the Suffolk you will need to live within a commutable distance of IP32 7BB as no travel or accommodation costs will be covered.
Demonstrable experience of fabricating and TIG welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipework within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment.
You'll also need to have good all round welding experience with current or previous coding's a definite advantage.
