Pipe Completion Process Engineer

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join NOV’s Subsea Production Systems (SPS) business unit as a Pipe Completion Process Engineer, playing a central role in launching a new process engineering team at our Kalundborg facility. The role focuses on improving manufacturing processes with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams - locally and internationally -to lead process improvement initiatives, support production operations, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement from the bid phase through final product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows
  • Analyse process performance data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Lead or support root cause investigations and risk assessments
  • Write and update work instructions and support operator training
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, HSE, and engineering teams
  • Contribute to project planning and execution from concept to delivery
  • Support equipment design and commissioning
  • Lead initiatives in energy optimization and sustainability
  • Assist in technology transfer projects across sites or from R&D to manufacturing

 

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar)
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Strong understanding of process engineering principles, tools, and risk analysis
  • Business awareness and the ability to balance cost, quality, and safety
  • Root cause analysis and continuous improvement mindset
  • Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with end fitting process design, assembly, and control
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, CREO, Minitab or similar tools
  • Knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations
