Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking a Pharmacy Operations Manager for a 13+ week contract-to-hire role at a closed-door long-term care pharmacy in Bardonia, NY. This site processes approximately 600 prescriptions daily and requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Schedule:
- Start Date: ASAP
- MondayFriday, primarily days
- Evenings/weekends as needed
Job Duties:
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
- Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and foster a positive team culture
- Oversee ordering, storage, dispensing, and compliance with laws and regulations
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure safety and accuracy
- Review key metrics (medication errors, efficiency, on-time delivery)
- Manage budget and resources to balance cost control with quality service
- Support the adoption of pharmacy technologies and track performance impact
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across departments to promote integrated LTC care
Software System: Frameworks (training provided)
Requirements:
- Active and clear NY Pharmacist license
- Minimum 5 years of pharmacy management experience, preferably in LTC
