About the Role
The Supply Planner at DeliverIt Pharmacy will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and inventory for our global clients. This role focuses on balancing inventory availability, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency. The Supply Planner will partner with procurement, production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure the right materials are available at the right time to support patient needs and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
o Supply Planning & Inventory Management:
o Develop and maintain supply plans for APIs, excipients, packaging, and finished goods.
o Set and monitor inventory targets, safety stock, and reorder points based on demand and lead times.
o Track and manage inventory levels, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items and recommending solutions.
o Maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies in coordination with warehouse staff.
o Production & Procurement Coordination:
o Align material availability with production schedules.
o Collaborate with procurement to ensure purchase orders support demand forecasts and lead times.
o Monitor usage trends and investigate variances between plans and actuals.
o Facilitate communication across production, quality, and warehouse functions for smooth operations.
Compliance & Quality:
o Ensure supply planning processes comply with FDA, USP, and 503A regulatory requirements.
o Maintain documentation to ensure global compliance.
o Support audits and inspections with accurate, up-to-date inventory records.
o Work with quality teams on quarantined or expired materials.
Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
o Generate and analyze inventory and supply chain reports to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
o Track KPIs such as inventory turns, fill rates, and days of supply.
o Drive initiatives to improve accuracy, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
o Recommend and implement best practices in pharmaceutical supply planning.
Requirements:
Qualifications
o bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Pharmacy, Business, or related field.
o 3–5 years of experience in supply planning or inventory management
o Strong knowledge of FDA and USP regulations.
o Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management tools, and Excel.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
o Detail-oriented with a compliance and quality-first mindset.
o Procurement & international shipping knowledge of refrigerated, frozen, and biologics
o Supply chain certifications (CSCP, CPIM).
o Familiarity with quality management systems in pharma.
