Two IP is a full-service intellectual property (IP) firm with our HQ in Leamington Spa but our team is spread across the country. We operate a -share consultancy model that enables patent and trade mark attorneys to build their own IP practice under the Two IP brand while benefiting from the support and expertise of the Two IP team. We provide a fully integrated ecosystem of back-office expertise to our consultant attorneys that includes IT, marketing, case management, paralegal, financial and BD support - all designed to create a productive and collaborative working environment.
Role Description
This is a part-time, remote/hybrid role for an experienced patent and trade mark formalities administrator at Two IP. The role includes: client onboarding, file opening, filing applications and correspondence at UKIPO, EPO and WIPO, paying renewal fees, docketing correspondence and deadlines, preparing draft reporting emails from templates, handling EP validations, UP requests, PCT phase entries, generating invoices, maintaining IPMS records and monitoring deadlines, and assisting consultant attorneys with queries.
Skills
- Experienced patent and trade mark formalities administrator/paralegal
- Qualification as a CITMA Paralegal and CIPA Patent Administrator is desirable
- Strong skills in filing applications at UK IPO, EPO and WIPO (knowledge of filing at EUIPO also desirable) and docketing/reporting prosecution stages
- Proficiency in reviewing and docketing IPO and overseas associate originating correspondence and deadlines
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to monitor and adhere to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills for working with attorneys
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Strong experience of using an online case/IP management system - prior experience with Equinox IPMS is a plus
- Experience handling EP validations, Unitary Patent requests, PCT phase entry, filing oppositions, paying renewal fees
- Experience in preparing document bundles for oppositions is a plus
