Part Time Facilities Maintenance Technician - Alamo Self Storage
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAlamo Self Storage is looking to hire a Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Tech for our facility located in Ramona.
Position Summary
This full-time position is responsible for keeping the buildings and grounds of the organization clean, safe, and functional. They commonly work with other staff to ensure that all areas of the building are properly maintained.
Facility maintenance technicians will be tasked with performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming floors; washing windows; removing trash from bins; etc. However, they also commonly perform more specialized duties such as installing new equipment or fixtures, repairing broken equipment, and even handling emergency situations such as water leaks.
Qualifications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic facilities and maintenance skills.
- At least two years experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a frequent basis.
- Valid State of California driver's license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Cleaning and maintaining common areas, such as lobbies, elevators, hallways, stairwells, and parking lots.
2. Conducting minor repairs to equipment or facilities such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, or painting.
3. Maintaining inventory of supplies and ordering supplies needed for projects.
4. Conducting inspections to ensure that standards are met by contractors or subcontractors.
5. Cleaning floors, walls, windowsills, ceilings, light fixtures, and doors.
6. Completes any other duties assigned.

Environment: Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor setting.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to stand for prolonged periods of time; to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amounts of weight; to operate equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Schedule
- Part Time position, 16 - 30 hours per week.
- Available from 9 AM - 6 PM daily. However, the shifts can vary. Standard shifts are usually 8 hours, and can be flexible with timing.
Compensation
- $17-18/hour depending on experience
