Role Description This is a full-time role for an Associate Attorney specializing in plaintiff employment Law. The firms main office is in Westlake Village, CA with satellite offices in Brea and San Diego.


The Civil Litigation Paralegalwill assist our attorneys with the management of civil cases by drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and organizing case files, discovery, and evidence.Responsibilities include managing calendars and deadlines, filing documents with courts, communicating with clients and witnesses, preparing for hearings and trials, and providing in-court support. Key skills for a successful civil paralegal are strong research, organization, and communication, along with proficiency in legal software and case management tools.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and initial case assessments.
  • Drafting/editing discovery, correspondences, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Execute administrative duties.
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
  • Filing and organization of case files including calendaring court deadlines & serving legal documents
  • Manage trial preparation for the attorney and post-trial procedures.
  • Gather and organize relevant information from a variety of sources.
  • Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties.
  • Provide assistance with case settlement.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Basic understanding of legal principles and proceedings
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Fundamentals of legal writing
  • Knowledge of relevant State Bar Law
  • Refined written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the functions and responsibilities of the position,
  • Completion of an approved paralegal program
  • Minimum five (5) years experience as a paralegal.
