Job Description

Painting Estimator

Additional Compensation-Bonus Eligible, Health/Vision/Dental, Retirement, PTO

Location-Bridgeview, IL 60455

Responsibilities:

- Track and maintain subcontract bid list on Sage

- Gather and sort incoming bid alerts (from all ITB resources including CNG) including revisions and enter on Sage

- Help in looking for more ITB resources to expand project opportunities

- Create Weekly Bid Alert Report and review with President to determine estimating opportunities

- Prepare and organize work to be estimated by gathering blueprints, specifications, and related documents

- Create a network project folder for new jobs on the server, download plans and upload them to Plan Swift

- Enter active only opportunities into Sage

- Share Bid Alerts with Contractor’s Network Group (CNG) & host bi-monthly Zoom meetings

- Enter walk-through other necessary information into the president’s calendar and save corresponding files

- Review all specified materials and obtain pricing from vendors. Must download all found info into the server file

- Maintain the Bid Follow Up Database on Sage to get updates on proposals that have been submitted. Have they

been awarded the project, have we been awarded, if not, why?

Proposals

- Create take-offs of all trade specific scopes including paint, wallcovering and any other specialty material using

Plan Swift

- Create proposals in Sage based on take-offs and estimating sheet using assemblies

- Review proposals with the President prior to issuing to General Contractors

- Email proposals to GC along with PDF take-offs and/or pictures plus any other pertinent information

Project Experience Required

Commercial and large multifamily experience. Must finish 20 proposals weekly, approximately $4-5M/ month in estimates

Software Experience Required

Sage, Microsoft office suite, Plan swift
