Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team, specializing in selling building materialsspecifically masonry and hardscape productsto distributors, contractors, builders, and residential construction professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the construction industry and a proven ability to build long-term relationships, drive sales, and grow territory revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with masonry distributors, home builders, general contractors, and construction project managers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the residential construction and masonry market.
- Provide product knowledge and support to customers, including brick, block, manufactured stone veneer, natural stone, mortar, and related accessories.
- Conduct on-site visits to construction sites, distributor yards, and customer offices.
- Create and deliver professional sales presentations and product demos tailored to customer needs.
- Prepare accurate quotes, submit bids, and follow up to close sales.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., logistics, procurement, and customer service) to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote company products and brand awareness.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in masonry, building materials, or residential construction.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals in a B2B environment.
- Knowledge of masonry and hardscape products such as block, brick, stone, pavers, retaining walls and mortar is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and mobile tools.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.

- Knowledge of regional building codes and standards.
- Experience working with distribution channels and supply chains.
