Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050.

POSITION PURPOSE
You’ll be working in a team environment to efficiently carry out duties while working towards the safety target of zero harm and demonstrating the Capstone Values. The position requires a large portion of your time in the field performing tasks as assigned around the entire mine and outlying areas.

- Conveyor belt maintenance and trouble shooting
- Threads and fasteners
- Equipment location
- Rigging
- Counterbalance Forklift
- Identification of Electrical and Mechanical components
- Operate Fuel truck
- Fuse HDPE pipe up to 12 inches
- LOTOTO (Lock Out-Tag Out-Test Out)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required
- Knowledge of open pit mining, tails and water sequence .
- Prior experience in copper operation strongly .
- To support and collaborate with others.
- Ability to speak, comprehend, read and write English.
Physical Demands of the Role
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including walking up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces, climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work in both hot and cold environments with high humidity.
- Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, and squat, including in confined spaces.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License.
- Previous experience performing related work in a safety-sensitive environment, such as the construction, farming, delivery or transportation industries.
