POSITION SUMMARY
The OTR Maintenance Coordinator I will initiate and assist in all over the road service request. As the first point of contact for Oakley Transport’s OTR Maintenance Department, they are responsible for setting a level of excellence through customer service, prioritizing of a Macro 52, and confirming the service request with detailed information for the OTR Maintenance Coordinator II.
The OTR Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for any unit stranded roadside, or where a driver is with the unit not at an approved repair facility, in need emergency service. Must follow policies, Stranded Driver Breakdown Procedure, to ensure repairs are addressed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Policy for Tire Calls over the Road - Follow this procedure to ensure repairs are addressed.
• Reefer Breakdown Procedure - Follow this procedure to ensure repairs are addressed.
• Product Pump Breakdown Procedures - Checklist, follow to help with pump off.
• AS400 will be used to document all status updates, including date/time and initials of documenter.
• Macro 52 will remain in "RED" until stranded unit has been repaired or towed to an approved repair facility.
• Ability to answer phones and multitask numerous projects at once. Gather pertinent info, and properly document for reference to repair.
• Breakdown Repair Process, follow this guideline to ensure repair process is completed as written.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure other work needed is checked and added to Macro 52 before assigning to Maintenance Coordinator II.
• Monitor and correct VIR requests and DOT Violations within the allotted time to ensure repair of unit, and DOT compliance. Refer any necessary paperwork to Safety for proper processing.
• Maintain a working knowledge of warranties, and extended warranties to our units maximize warranty coverages.
• Communicate all PM/DOT service with the proper Asset Management Coordinator, to ensure Oakley’s preventive maintenance and federal inspections are properly coordinated.
