Solution Architect - Cloud Infrastructure

Contract: Inside IR35
\n Rate: Up to £600 per day
\n Location: Reading - 2 days per week onsite
\n Payroll: Client-run PAYE - no umbrella required, with employer NI covered

We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect / Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join a major enterprise technology transformation programme.
\n This is a delivery-focused architecture role, where you'll take ownership of end-to-end technical solutions, working across cloud, hybrid infrastructure, networking, security and . You'll work closely with product teams, engineers, suppliers and senior stakeholders to ensure solutions are secure, resilient, scalable and fit for purpose.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions
- Define solution options, assess trade-offs and make architectural recommendations
- Provide architecture governance and technical assurance throughout delivery
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, blueprints and design decisions
- Work across Azure, OCI, networking, , security and hybrid connectivity
- Manage technical risks and ensure operational readiness and supportability
- Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, vendors and delivery partners

What We're Looking For
\n
- \n
- 8+ years' technology experience, with significant experience in an architectural role
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions
- Strong infrastructure architecture experience across cloud and hybrid environments
- Deep understanding of networking, , security, connectivity and monitoring
- Experience with Azure and/or OCI
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience providing architectural governance and design assurance
- Retail or large-scale migration experience would be advantageous
