Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Service Technician to support daily operations within our Service Department. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment, managing service logistics, and delivering exceptional customer support. Work schedule is day shift M-F.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
- Prepare customer orders for shipment
- Manage service orders, including intake, processing, and updates on pricing, status, and shipping
- Handle inventory control, including tracking and ordering parts
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates on service, repairs, and maintenance
- Dispatch service requests to appropriate personnel
- Resolve or escalate customer complaints as needed
- Collaborate with internal departments to meet customer service needs
- Maintain compliance with FDA, SOPs
- Keep service area clean and organized
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Basic troubleshooting skills (training provided)
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus
- Able to lift up to 45 lbs; forklift training provided
- Willingness to operate material handling equipment (forklift, ramps, etc.)
- Friendly, professional phone manner
Compensation/Benefits
