Job Summary:

The Operations Program Manager is pivotal in the Operations department, serving as a liaison between the business, IT leadership, and development team. They are the custodians of the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and understood by all stakeholders. The Operations Program Manager guides the leadership team through iterative cycles, balancing the needs of both users and business with the practicalities of development capabilities while weighing the financial, reputational, and/or regulatory impact of the request.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritize the operations intake backlog to reflect the needs of the business and ensure the proper channel for resolution (Continuous Improvement, IT, or Data)
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Operations team and key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize stories and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with the enterprise strategy
  • Ensure leaders are creating articulate user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team
  • Monitor the progress of BRD creation with defined requirements before development engagement to ensure successful deployments
  • Responsible for ensuring successful completion of each phase of the Intake, Prioritization, Requirements, Development, QA, UAT, and Regression Testing are completed before work moving into a production environment
  • Ensure proper resource allocation between Enterprise Projects, Operations Initiatives, and Continuous Improvement Engagements

Education:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent years of experience
