Job Summary:
The Operations Manager directs all daily warehouse and transportation activities. This role ensures that facility operationsincluding receiving, storage, and order fulfillmentare integrated seamlessly with fleet management and delivery schedules to meet customer demands safely and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
Personnel Management: Recruit, hire, and train warehouse staff and drivers. You are responsible for scheduling, performance evaluations, and fostering a productive, high-morale work culture.
Warehouse Oversight: Manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and optimize facility layouts to enhance product flow and storage efficiency.
Transportation & Logistics: Coordinate inbound and outbound freight. This includes managing driver routes, fleet maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and other legal safety standards for both the warehouse floor and vehicle operations.
Financial & Process Optimization: Prepare and manage departmental budgets. Utilize data-driven insights and KPIs (e.g., order accuracy, delivery speed) to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is . A high school diploma/GED is required.
Experience: 25+ years of Operations Management experience, responsible for both warehouse and transportation, in a distribution, logistics, or transportation environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and strong communication skills.
