Operations Manager - Transportation

Transcorp Carriers, Inc is seeking an Operations Manager to become an integral part of our team in Greensboro, NC! You will be responsible for overseeing our company's operational activities and ensuring that all policies, procedures and safety rules are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for direction and oversight of the operations, maintenance, safety, DOT compliance, equipment and driver recruiting
• Responsible for the justification, specification, selection and purchase of new trucks, trailers and other necessary equipment and systems
• Assist in dispatching, managing drivers and available capacity to efficiently cover all loads for customer base
• Responsible for negotiating rates and contracts directly with customers, brokers and vendors to maximize equipment and driver efficiency while remaining cost effective.
• Develop and implement compliant and effective safety and incentive programs
• Provide backup support to operational and administrative staff in the performance of their duties.
• Assist with the compilation and communication of payroll information
• Perform all duties in a professional manner which promotes the image, growth, profitability and success of the company
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality with issues related to company associates, rates, customers, and other proprietary items.
• Other duties as assigned

​Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in management of a trucking operation
• Minimum 4 year Bachelor's level degree,
• Strong organizational, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to remain flexible in work assignments/scheduled hours
