Operations Manager -Towing & Repair

 A well established, rapidly growing, and leader in providing heavy duty and light towing services has an opportunity for an Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for all towing & repair operations for a 24/7/365 operation, including leadership and providing management for all tow truck drivers, dispatchers and auto mechanics in the shop. The Operations Manager will provide coaching and guidance to help the team enhance the customer experience, streamline daily operations, and encourage employee development. If you have Three-Five (3-5) years of experience in towing and the automotive repair industry possess a CDL A license, and verifiable experience in driving a heavy duty and light duty wrecker you may qualify for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the daily activities of towing, drivers, and the shop
  • Determine daily goals and handle issues that arise
  • Set-up daily schedules, routes for tows, drivers and manage activities in the shop
  • Keep track of the progress made by drivers and mechanics daily  Schedule, coordinate, and monitor services for customers as they relate to operations
  • Complete and monitor maintenance schedules on all company owned vehicles
  • Routinely communicate with drivers throughout the day and advise any changes
  • Maintain daily logs and paperwork
  • Debrief drivers at the end of the route

·         Ensure that all company standards are followed with regards to safety, tow documentation, truck/equipment maintenance and inventory, time sheet submission and any other required tasks

  • Handle customer issues that may occur
  • Contribute to departmental meetings
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Three to Five (3-5) years of Operations Management experience within the towing industry is required
  • CDL A Drivers License
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to communicate with different groups of people
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be organized and able to work in a high-volume calling environment
  • Verifiable experience using Microsoft Office Suites
  • Experience with software: Towbook and ALLDATA is
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within automotive, transportation/logistics, or towing industry
  • Strong skills in budgeting, goal setting, building a positive culture, and promoting industry leading customer service standards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage shifts effectively while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development and leadership
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Must be Energetic and promote a positive work environment
